As an artist name goes, Ghostek is pretty bang on the mark. Having laced his tunes with 12 ounces of valium and drenched them in ethereal cloaks, Ghostek conjures memories of Burial whilst stamping a firm mark of his own on the trademark post-dubstep sound. He's also not afraid to collaborate, joining similarly-spooky garage artists such as Sorrow, Roof Light and VVV in lifting the heart and head to lofty heights.
And the mix he's turned in is uncompromising in representing the sound he infuses in his productions, with a tracklisting chock full of newcomers - including the startlingly good Buck UK, Bridge and aforementioned Roof Light - which will turn ears onto some overlooked UK talent.
Overall it will be surprising to many that they missed Ghostek in the first place, and with such a great output of tracks and mixes that's unlikely to change for some time.
