This set covers 25 years of Progressive Rock. Some artists will be familiar to Prog Rock fans, others not as much. German Prog Rock bands like Eloy, Ramses, and Jane are represented with multiple songs, as are bands like Camel, FM, and Saga. While the time frames are all over the place, I tried to keep the mood tight and flowing. The set features a rare cut from the 1992 album, “Seven” by James and a rare cut from one of my favorite bands, Beautiful People, from their 1994 album, “If 60s Were 90s.” The Saga song is from their 1980 album, “Silent Knight;” the FM songs are from their 1978 album, “Black Noise;” the Jane songs are from “Fire, Water, Earth, and Air” (1976) and “Genuine” (2002); the Eloy song is from their 1982 album, “Time To Turn;” the Camel song is from their 1977 album, “Rain Dances;” the Ramses songs are from their more recent “Control Me” (2000) album and from their earlier “Light Fantastic” (1981) album; and we have a cut from the 1983 Yes album, “90125.”
