A ballot initiative to legalize marijuana in California may be on the November ballot and, in advance of that, the Oakland Museum of California has waded into the issue. The exhibit, "Altered State: Marijuana in California," approaches the substance from cultural, political and scientific angles, including claims of weed's health benefits and its harms. The exhibit even features a confession booth that collects visitors' anonymous revelations including, "I am a little high now" and "The worst lovers are stoners." Forum talks with the exhibit's curators and explores the role museums can play in public policy issues.
