One of the main points of tension between the theory of evolution and the Christian faith is the doctrine of Original Sin. In Paul's letter to the Romans, Adam is a crucial component to understanding the Gospel. If the theory of evolution is true, does our faith in Christ unravel? Or have we been misunderstanding the relationship between Adam and Christ? Would Paul recognize contemporary notions of Original Sin as we use them?
Dr. Joel B. Green, professor of New Testament interpretation, dean of the School of Theology, and associate dean of the Center for Advanced Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, tackles this subject in his lecture "Reframing Original Sin," hosted by the Fuller Faith and Science Student Group.
The lecture was held in Travis Auditorium on Fuller's main campus in Pasadena at 7:00pm on November 17
