Mid 70's is undoubtedly the golden age of reggae music. Many recording studios are working on Jamaica, such as Studio One, Black Ark, Channel One, also Joe Gibbs Studio and Sonia Pottinger, as well as numerous smaller recording studios which is held by various artists. Reggae is now an international phenomenon, and artists from Jamaica successfully go on tour both in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe.
During this period, are many vocal groups has appear. Harmonic trios such as The Gladiators, The Mighty Diamonds, The Abyssinians, The Congos, The Wailing Souls and Culture are starting to introduce a new quality to the genre, development of which also affects the UK because there appears more and more bands.
In this episode of Positive Thursdays meeting with vocal trios mainly from Jamaica, but we will take a look also to the UK to see what is happening on the islands.
