Eivissa is the old Catalan name for Ibiza.
Formentera is the smallest of the 5 inhabited islands of the Belaerics (Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca & Cabrera being the others).
Despite its size, it is extremely beautiful.
The Wife & I decided to take a holiday there this year, staying overnight near Figuretas , Ibiza.
Whilst walking near the hotel, we heard funk & disco wafting from a tiny bar. Given the island's reputation, this seemed like an incongruous but welcome oasis. This makes up the first part.
In Formentera, we heard a more music in keeping with it's (relatively) slower pace of life This makes up the second part.
I've put this together quickly to preserve things before things got bogged down & technical.
Track 1 deliberately has no top end – your soundcard isn't playing up.
The Al Jarreau track is dedicate to the owner/chef of 'Chez Julien'.
The last track is dedicated to my Aunt Sarah, who sadly, lost her fight against illness back in the UK, while we were abroad.
